Becasue of COVID Christmas is going to look a little different this year, but we’e got lots of different ways of engaging with this life changing story of HOPE, whether you are young or old, whether Christmas will be easy or difficult for you this year. We’ll put more information here in the coming weeks, but here is a preview of what we are planning and our Christmas leaflet can be downloaded here: Christmas 2020 leaflet.
The Malvern Nativity Trail (12th -25th December)
As we can’t do our usual Nativity Play this year, we are instead inviting you to take part in the ‘Malvern Nativity Trail.’ Start at All Saints Church with our display of Gabriel visiting Mary, and continue on to see the Innkeeper, the Shepherds & the wise men, to finish at our very own ‘selfie nativity’ scene at St Andrew’s where you can take your own nativity photo! At each display, there is a video to download to listen to, as Mary, the donkey, the shepherds and others, retell the Christmas story. Socially distanced fun for all the family!
Advent Calendar of Hope (1st – 24th December)
During this challenging season, which is going to be tough for so many, we want to share with you some stories of hope in difficult times in the form of our ’Online Advent Calendar of Hope.’ Each day throughout December, until Christmas Eve, we will be posting a short video story of hope from one of our congregation members on our website and our Facebook page, and would love to invite you to watch and find ‘hope in the darkness.’ You can view the videos on the Advent Calendar here.
