We are fortunate to have a thriving children and young people’s work at St Andrew’s, All Saints and St Mary’s, children and young people are a key priority for us.

Helen Attree is our Children and Families Ministry Leader who oversees our toddlers groups, children’s ministry with primary children, Early birds and links with primary schools. She also co-leads Messy Church and organises our annual Holiday Club.

Ruth Wharton is our Assistant Children and Families Ministry Leader who particularly oversees our work with families and leads our Connected Families Parenting workshops.

Nathan Shipton is our Youth Ministry Leader who oversees Pathfinders (11-14 year olds) and CHAOS (14-18 year olds) and links with our high school (The Chase).

Alongside Nathan, Helen and Ruth we have a fantastic team of volunteers working with children and youth in our churches and community. All of our leaders and helpers have been DBS checked and have received safeguarding training.

We are committed to not just teaching our young people faith, but equipping them to be able to live out their faith in their schools and homes, and training them up to be leaders of today and not just tomorrow. We are keen to give them responsibility and opportunities to allow them to minister to others from an early age and the Young Leaders programme at our Holiday Club is a great example of this.

Young Leaders’ Training
