The Church Weekend at Home 2019 is a great opportunity for people from both our churches and all our congregations, to spend time together, getting to know each other, having fun and also having some excellent practical teaching.
Guest Speaker: Terry English
Our speaker for the weekend will be Terry English and his wife, Hana who are our newest Mission Partners at St Andrew’s (and who may become mission partners at All Saints too). Terry, Hana and the family live in the Czech Republic and are missionaries with Josiah Venture – an organisation reaching, equipping and nurturing young people throughout Eastern Europe. He’ll be speaking on how we can grow as followers of Jesus – exact details to be confirmed.
Something for everyone…
There will be something for everyone across the weekend, with organised children (including a crèche) and youth work during the main teaching sessions for adults, and then inter-generational social activities on both evenings. During the Saturday afternoon there will be a wide variety of different activities to choose from including: a walk, sport, swimming, creative activities or just sitting relaxing playing games and reading the paper.
We’ll eat together, laugh together and have fun together. We’ll end with a joint service together on the Sunday morning before going off to different eateries across the town for lunch.
