Our mission statement describes our key priorities and purpose:
Encountering Jesus in worship, prayer, Word and Spirit
Growing whole-life, life-long disciples
Seeing lives transformed and communities flourish as we demonstrate and proclaim God’s Kingdom.
Towards the end of 2016, our new vision began to emerge through discussions with our PCCs. This used the analogy of the church as a ‘growing tree’ and highlighted four main vision areas: Growing Deeper, Growing Stronger, Growing Younger and Growing Outwards.
Since then we have identified a key focus in each vision area and have set up a strategic group to lead and implement vision in each of these areas. The strategic groups are joint groups comprising of members of both St Andrew’s and All Saints.
1. Frontline Discipleship (Growing Deeper) – helping us become more effective disciples of Jesus on our ‘frontlines’.
2. Children and Young People (Growing Younger) – helping us reach, disciple, equip and empower our children and young people more effectively.
3. Outreach (Growing Outwards) – helping us reach out to our communities to proclaim and demonstrate God’s love.
4. Welcome, Caring & Belonging (Growing Stronger) – to help us find better ways of welcoming, caring and helping people belong in our churches.
