A message from Dave

Welcome and thank you for connecting with us. Alice and I and our two children Josh and Eleanor, arrived in January 2016 from Shrewsbury, for me to take up the position of Team Rector here in the Malvern Chase Team. We have so welcomed and supported from the start by our congregations and it has been so exciting to see all that God has done here over the last few years, building on the faithful ministry that has gone before for many, many years. Over the last few years we have seen many lives transformed and have found new ways of serving our community. We especially have a strong calling to children and youth ministry and have nearly 100 children and youth that we are regularly connected with. We are emerging from the pandemic quite differently to how we went in. We have experienced significant growth over the last eighteen months (with around 100 new people joining St Andrew’s & All Saints), we have restructured our services across the two churches so there is much more variety and something for all (click here to see the new service pattern), and we have seen some of our key staff move on – our curate has now been promoted to run his own church in Dorset and our Youth Minister has gone off to train for ordination in the Church of England. We are now in an exciting season where we are recruiting new staff to lead us forward and widening leadership across our churches by creating more ministry teams, releasing people to serve in their God given gifts.

In all we do, we are committed to being open to God’s leading, and supporting each and every individual who we meet to encounter Jesus for themselves and become all he has created us to be. We would love you to invite you to come and join us on this journey. Please do come and visit us and do get in touch with us if you would like to find out more.

Dave (Team Rector)

Who are we?

We are a vibrant, friendly and growing all-age Christian community that is seeking to live out Jesus’ calling, in the power of the Spirit, here in Malvern and beyond. We are people who are very much ‘works in progress’ but who seek to be authentic followers of Jesus in the different paces God has put us. You can see some of our church family and hear their stories on our ‘Advent Calendar of Hope’ that we put together in December 2020 here.

We have two main worship centres: St Andrew’s, Poolbrook and All Saints, Malvern Wells & Wyche where we gather on Sundays to worship, be equipped and be sent out from to live for Jesus in our everyday lives for the rest of our week. We also are involved in a variety of ministries at the Octagon Community Centre (see here), where we hope to soon build a new worshipping community appropriate to the needs of that community.

We are part of the Chase Team (which also includes St Mary’s in Pickersleigh – see here), part of the Church of England and the Diocese of Worcester and we also have close links with the New Wine network of churches.

Our strapline is ‘Partnering with God in the flourishing of our communities’ and our video below gives just a little glimpse of some of the ways in which we do that:
